Patricia VanMaanen, MS, BSN, RN
Patricia (Pat) VanMaanen, has over 35 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Since 2001 she has worked as a nurse consultant, assisting clients with a variety of health projects, health policy, and program management with a special focus on children’s and public health. She has a Master of Science from Texas Woman’s University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan.She is a long-time and active member of several professional organizations at the local, state, and national levels in nursing and public health. She currently serves as the Chair of the Arizona Nurses Association Climate Change & Health Workgroup.

Vivian Huang, MD, MPH
Vivian Huang is a dual board certified physician, trained in internal medicine and preventive medicine/public health. She completed her internal medicine residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Queens, NY and her preventive medicine/public health residency at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. She received her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine and her master's in public health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. She currently serves as the Chair for the Healthcare Sustainability subcommittee of the Arizona Healthcare Professionals for Climate Action. Vivian comes to the climate action group from a personal place where she deeply enjoys and values the great outdoors and highly respects and honors our sacred Mother Earth with the vision of having a healthy, livable planet for future generations to come.

Dr. Noah Tolby is a Clinical Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Banner University Medical Center in Tucson, AZ. He combines his expertise in emergency medicine with a passion for holistic well-being. He is engaged in addressing the intersection of climate change and health, advocating for sustainable solutions to safeguard the well-being of individuals and communities

Sam Freedman, MD
Recent graduate from the Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of Arizona, working as an EM Physician on the Tohono O'odham Reservation in Sells, Arizona. Sam Freedman's interest in environmental stewardship came through his time backpacking in the Pacific Northwest growing up, and witnessing the catastrophic effects of warming waters on coral reefs while Scuba Diving in Central America. In Sam's free time, he likes to hike, cook, garden, scuba dive, mountain bike and play pickleball.
